Summary:
Employee represents Silver Gulch and is expected to give their 100% along with their team of co-workers in delivering the highest quality food and service to every guest that steps foot into Silver Gulch's establishment at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.
Successful applicants must:
Have reliable transportation
Be able to perform the following tasks in a multi-tasking, fast-paced work environment:

Rapidly prepare pizzas and other items according to established procedures and recipes,

Use kitchen cooking equipment (fryer, griddle, charbroiler, oven) to prepare dishes in a fast-paced, time-sensitive manner,
-
Maintain a clean, safe work area while performing cooking duties

Consistently adhere to all applicable food safety/handling protocols
Be able to verbally communicate, in English (both speaking and listening) with their team members and supervisors in a courteous, professional, and clear manner.
Be able to receive, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions.
Be able to read, understand and follow written procedures and recipes
Be able to safely utilize and maintain kitchen knives and other tools and kitchen equipment in a safe, efficient manner in the accomplishment of cooking and food preparation duties
Be able to work up to 5 hours without a smoke-break
Be able to lift 50 lbs intermittently
Must consistently maintain their grooming and uniform in a clean, hygienic manner
Be able to work in fast-paced work environment with other team members, in a safe, rapid, professional, collaborative manner
Responsibilities:

Working in all positions found in the “back of the house”; this will include all cooking positions, all kitchen related duties and all support positions (i.e. Dishwashing); this is applicable during the slow season (Winter).

Following all Silver Gulch standardized recipes, proper portioning in accordance with recipes.

Ensuring that your Anchorage Food Handler’s card is kept current and abiding by state and national food safety standards and regulations.

Following written and verbal instructions received accurately and in a timely and safe manner from kitchen supervisors and management personnel.

Housekeeping of workplaces; keeping areas organized, free of clutter and cleaned as they go.

Cooks are also responsible for the more thorough cleaning of their equipment and workplaces that will need be accomplished after the kitchen line is closed, such as grease filters hoods etc.

Sanitizing food stations; utilizing a sanitizer bucket with fresh sanitizing water near each station, replacing the sanitizing solution every two hours.

Following the back of house dress code and practicing good personal hygiene.

Abiding by the Silver Gulch Safety Program, working in a safe manner at all times.

Informing a manager in the case of a medical incident

Following the Silver Gulch Standards of Service and Conduct.

Behaving in a professional and courteous manner at all times to the public and to fellow co-workers.

Leaving personal problems at the door.

Asking questions when you are uncertain of how to perform a task or in the proper and safe use of unfamiliar piece of equipment.

Reporting for your scheduled work shift, on time and ready to work.

Completing any other duties that you may be tasked with throughout your shift: such as working as the dishwasher, or receiving and unloading of supply orders.
